Hello there, thanks for joining me…
I’m Claire, my pronouns are she / her and I am a photographer covering Bristol, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds in the UK and beyond.
I believe in the magic of moments. My passion is capturing the beauty in every smile, every glance, and every joyful tear. With a focus on rich, true-to-colour tones, my aim is to make sure you feel wonderful throughout the whole experience and receive a gallery you absolutely treasure. I am dedicated to creating lasting memories for your weddings, portraits, and family sessions.
My photography sessions are a safe space for all souls looking for a non-traditional, affordable and LGBTQ+ friendly approach to photography.
Questions…
How do I book a session?
To book your slot you can click here (no payment is taken at this stage, I’ll get in touch with you to plan your shoot), complete the contact form or email me with your ideas! I’ll get back to you to discuss your vision, finalise the date, and answer any questions. A signed contract and payment is required to secure your session.
What types of sessions do you offer?
I offer a wide range of sessions, including weddings, portraits and family photoshoots. I also photograph couples, maternity, boudoir, empowerment, milestones, branding, and special events. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to reach out, and we can plan something just for you!
Where will the session take place?
The location is totally up to you! I can recommend scenic spots or we can shoot in a location that’s meaningful to you, like your home, a favourite park, or an urban setting. For studio sessions, please ask about availability. I have access to an outdoor studio in Lea, Malmesbury, Wiltshire UK, which is perfect for all kinds of shoots.
How should I prepare for my session?
Once we confirm your booking, we’ll go over styling tips, locations, and any other details to help you feel confident and prepared. Just come relaxed and ready to have fun! For weddings, we will discuss beforehand how to prepare special items for detail shots and any specific shots you have in mind.
What should I wear?
Choose something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! Neutral colours, simple patterns, and coordinated (you don’t need to match) outfits work well. If you’d like more tips, I’m here to help! For all portrait and family shoots I send out a guide to help you beforehand.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
After the session, I’ll carefully select and edit the best images. For family and portrait shoots you can expect a beautiful gallery within 2–3 weeks. For weddings, you will receive your gallery within 6 weeks. If you need them sooner, just let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate!
How many photos will I receive?
It really varies depending on the type of shoot you have. For each hour of a wedding the industry standard is around 50 / 60 images. I deliver all usable images, so you often get many more than this and lots of choice in your gallery. For family and portrait sessions my packages are all inclusive. There are no additional charges per image, once you get your gallery they’re all yours!
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
I aim to embrace the weather – this is the UK after all and we usually do get breaks in the rain. Overcast and cloudy weather creates a lovely soft light that makes everyone look lovely, avoiding shadows on the face or squinting in the sun. If it really is torrential or we have weather warnings, I won’t put our safety at risk and my camera won’t like it, so we’ll work together to reschedule or find an alternative location if needed. Your experience is my priority, and we’ll make sure it’s perfect.
Do you edit all the photos?
Yes, I hand-edit each selected image to make sure it’s polished and true to my style. I focus on rich, true-to-colour tones and timeless edits that bring out the best in each shot.
I want a different style, can you do that?
I am open to conversations and I love creative and artsy edits, however my editing style and colours are important to me and it is important that you choose a photographer who has a style you love. Make sure you see lots of examples of their work before you make a decision. If you want a photographer that uses very warm sepia / orangey tones or does the black and white photos with a coloured section, I’m probably not your girl… but I can always signpost you to someone who works in that way so it’s always worth an ask 🙂
